Members at Moe D24 have today joined their An occupational health and safety Provisional Improvement Notice (PIN) was issued this morning, meaning that the state’s workplace safety regulator, WorkSafe, is now obliged to undertake an independent investigation into alleged safety breaches at Moe D24. The scope of this investigation will include staffing levels and the associated health and safety risks to members who work at Moe D24 and to local operational members who rely on this important communications facility when performing their day-to-day duties. Today’s development is the latest in a series of significant measures undertaken by members to uphold their workplace health and safety since the Association brought greater focus on this issue earlier this month in response to staff shortages across the state. The Association knows that under-resourcing continues to see members burnt-out, frustrated and at risk. We know this because you, the membership, tell us everyday. We therefore encourage members to continue to seek the advice of The Police Association if your health and safety and those of your colleagues are being put at risk by chronic under-resourcing.
