The Police Association this weekend takes its campaign for wage justice to AFL fans with video advertisements on scoreboards at the MCG and Etihad Stadium.

The advertisement, which invokes the common football cry to “Do Something”, is an apt way to address the Premier’s lack of activity on an issue that goes to the heart of the reason why he was elected.

The Government still refuses to negotiate on any pay rises above 2.5 per cent (even this offer is conditional on a raft of adverse changes to working conditions). Meanwhile politicians have just given themselves a ‘no strings attached’ pay rise.
