The Police Association has been notified by the Australian Electoral Commission Returning Officer of the declaration of results for the recent election for a vacant position on the Executive of the Victoria Police Branch of the Police Federation of Australia.

This vacancy was created as a result of the resignation of an Executive member earlier this year. The timeframes involved did not allow for this particular vacancy to be included in the previous ballot from which the successful candidates were announced earlier this month. 

In accordance with our rules, members elected to the Victoria Police Branch also hold a position on The Police Association Executive Committee.

The term of the successful candidate will commence, along with those previously announced, in September 2010 and expire in 2013.

The successful candidate for this election, as declared by the Australian Electoral Commission, is Glenn Holland.
