Casual vacancy filled on Executive Committee / Association subscriptions increase (36/10)

Casual vacancy filled on Association Executive Committee
Members are advised of an amendment to InBrief (34/10) published Monday 31 August.
The successful candidate for the election held to fill a casual vacancy on the Association's Executive Committee, Glenn Holland, commenced his term immediately after the election was determined and not in September, as previously stated. His term on the Association Executive will expire in 2011 in line with the expiry of the casual vacancy that Glenn was elected to fill.
We apologise for any confusion.
Association subscription rates increase
As a result of pay increases due to all members on 6 September 2010, members are advised that Association subscription fees will rise by 50 cents per fortnight as of 9 September.
This rise is in accordance with the Association's constitution. There will be no increase in subscriptions to The Police Association Friendly Society's welfare services. These services will remain available to members and their families at the current rate.
Members are also reminded that Police Association subscriptions continue to be tax deductible.
