ABOUT US


The Police Association Victoria (TPAV) exists to represent the industrial, legal, wellbeing and OHS interests of approximately 18,000 members (sworn Victoria Police Officers and Protective Services Officers) and is among the most influential and high-profile representative bodies in the State.


Information Officers are TPAV’s first-line responders for all member queries. Situated in TPAV’s Member Support Centre (MSC), they are responsible for the effective and efficient management of incoming member communications, which include telephone, email and website enquiries.


MSC is responsible for delivery of communication and engagement initiatives, raising the profile of TPAV and contributing to a positive member experience.

SOME OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:


  • Respond to first-line correspondence and email/web-based queries in accordance with TPAV policy and member service delivery requirements.
  • Provide information and advice to members on first-line queries pertaining to industrial relations, welfare, discipline, OHS and WorkCover, TPAV campaigns, and member benefits and services.

This role will suit a sound communicator with strong customer service focus. You will enjoy working in smaller teams for an organisation that has a strong purpose. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from more experienced member engagement, communication and industrial relations professionals. Key to your success will be your ability to work collaboratively and to think practically and creatively.


WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO ALSO HAS:


  • Demonstrated experience working in a membership or customer-based organisation.
  • A strong customer service ethic combined with ability to deliver the required solution in a timely manner.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating tact and diplomacy to consistently interact effectively with diverse groups of people.
